Isn’t this guy sweet? He’s about seven and a half inches tall, glazed clay and a wonderful turquoise color which my watercolor doesn’t quite capture. I found him at Sally’s–across from the Red Hen Bakery. He’s a little beat up–a few chips–but I was happy to give him a good home. Now he has friends to hang with: two leather camels, a tiger and lots of elephants. Would you like to see them?
I really like how you did the watercolor, it really looks like it is glazed. He is cute and my new favorite.
Thanks Janet, I had a hard time with trying to show the shine. This was my second attempt–I used white crayon to resist the watercolor for the highlights. Sorta worked. Not as glassy looking as I would like but it’s all a learning process!
sure!
I love looking at Sally’s stuff. Sure, bring on those critters!
Bring ’em
I would like to see them.
